Staff members, who really know their stuff, are on hand to answer questions, there are many hands-on exhibits to explore, and an audio tour is available to listen to while going on the self-guided history trail. History Buffs Who Live in Charleston Tour the Adventure Sailing Ship
Charleston property owners and all guests are invited to tour the Adventure, a replica of a 17th century sailing ship. Come see what it was like to travel to America from Europe and even see the cannons fired at special events and on the 3rd Saturday of the month. Other things to see on this property are the Animal Forest natural habitat zoo, beautiful gardens, the Lagare-Waring House (which is a favorite spot for those who live in Charleston to hold a wedding), and much more. The park is open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. every day except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Admission is $10 for adults, $6.50 for seniors, $6 for youth ages 6-15, and free for children 5 and under.
