Come view a historic home whose residents shaped what it means to live in Charleston. The Aiken-Rhett House Museum was built in 1820 and is a very special and unique Charleston property. One of the most interesting things about this house is that it remained in the same family, being passed down from generation to generation for 142 years. It now lies in the hands of the Historic Charleston Foundation and has been open as a museum house since 1975.
